Total Noise

In light of recent events in Boston, James Gleick of New York Magazine wrote an interesting piece on the relationship between media, current events, and the progression of time. Gleick’s analysis of the public and media response towards a rapidly developing story reminded me much of the exact same relationships during the last presidential campaign (from the Republican primaries to election day). Give it a read and see if you feel a déjà vu.
